September 2022 was a positive month for Rinova in terms of funding acquisition and saw the company successfully apply for and be awarded not one, but two projects under the Mayor of London’s Sector Academy programme.
The first of these projects was Focus on Hospitality, which as the name suggests aims to support those interested in a career in the hospitality industry, providing tailored IAG and support to help participants make informed decisions about a career in this exciting industry. This project fits perfectly under the umbrella of sector related provision delivered by Rinova’s Hospitality Academy, providing more tailored CIAEG to both young people and adults interested in entering the sector.
The second project Creative Re-Work, saw Rinova successfully awarded as one of the GLA’s Creative Academies. With partners Collage Arts and Iconic Steps, the Creative Re-work project provides innovative interventions and opportunities for unemployed and economically inactive people of all ages, to find out more about, prepare for or re-enter careers in the creative industries.
“It was so moving to have dance performance in the Carol Service this year. Such a special evening to remember”.
Damien Egan, Mayor of Lewisham
Lead partner, Rinova, opted for an unconventional approach to career guidance, tailoring our offer specifically to meet the needs of creative practitioners, dancers, actors and performers. With direct input from creative practitioners and professionals, industry specialists and representatives of our target cohort, we devised a truly innovative programme, which would culminate in a networking and sharing event in December 2022.
