On the 10th October last year, Chris Preddie spoke and performed to an ‘Expert Panel’ of senior representatives from Colleges, the National Apprenticeship Service, the Skills Funding Agency, Sector Skills Councils and Rinova consortium members WAC and Collage Arts.  The Panel was drawn together to discuss issues relating to employment, skills and social cohesion, as part of the ‘Shine’ event to celebrate and disseminate the outcomes of the ASPIRE Project.

We were all delighted to learn that Chris was honoured with an OBE in the New Years Honours List for his services to young people.  Chris was someone who had had difficult experiences in life, and became a student at WAC – an experience which he credits to turning his life around.
