Rinova Community Interest Company

In 2024 we established and registered Rinova CIC (Community Interest Company) as a new organisational entity at Companies House.

Since our foundation at Rinova in 2010 as a social enterprise, we have always undertaken not for profit work as part of our portfolio, including the implementation of many contracts and projects issued in the framework of non-profit making grants. We decided to form the CIC in response to approaches and requests from organisations from the voluntary, community and charitable sector, since we frequently found that despite being a social enterprise by virtue of our status as being an employee owned company, we were not always able to support them, whether as applicants or as partners in applications due to technical regulations (i.e. where criteria concerned with eligibility restrict participants to being not-for profit organisations).

As the CIC is relatively newly established entity, it benefits from being able to draw upon all of the Rinova group’s experience, capacity and know how, as well as financial sponsorship where appropriate.  The CIC can also act as a ‘special purpose vehicle’, a legal structure through which grants can be received and distributed on an entirely non profit basis.
