Julie is an experienced project development and implementation manager. As the Principal Development Consultant at Rinova, Julie is responsible for the design and implementation of a number of community-based social action and learning projects.
Prior to Rinova, Julie led the partnership development and business plan production of six successful European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) projects, each with a value of approximately £3m. She also worked closely with London Councils and Islington Training Network on the development of a capacity building programme for the Third Sector.
Julie is also the Development Director of the Octopus Community Network where she leads, develops and maintains a network of eleven thriving multi-purpose community centres and manages collaborative projects, such as Islington Health Works (Big Lottery £1m), and most recently ‘Wild Places’, Natural England/Big Lottery.
Prior to this, Julie spent 14 years at Islington Enterprise Agency as the Development Manager, where she won the contract for the IEA to develop the Instant Creche Company and developed many winning project applications, including those to support business improvement in Caledonian Road, Islington and co-wrote the report that resulted in a Small Business Service funded project for regional support programme for refugee entrepreneurs. Julie is leading Rinova’s input into the training design and residential programme in Talent Match London, and is also undertaking curriculum development and design in our international projects.
