We are delighted to announce that, following our recent inspection visit by GLE, Rinova has been awarded Green Mark.
Green Mark is a quality award and certification scheme that works with organisations to improve their environmental practices and improve efficiency – according to The Carbon Trust, UK businesses are paying more than £1.6bn too much on their energy bills every year, and could be saving up to 15% on their energy bills through energy efficiency measures.
Monica Aroma, Operations Manager at Rinova said “We have been working in recent months to audit and document our environmental practice. We are very pleased to have had our practice validated through the Green Mark external assessment and we feel encouraged to continue our improvements in this area.”
To achieve Green Mark Level 1, organisations are expected to identify their main environmental impacts and implement Good Practice Actions to manage and prevent them. Organisations must also comply with key legislation, write an Environmental Policy, and implement a communication and awareness strategy.
Green Mark was relaunched in 2009 and is operated by GLE.
